RSP probes allegation against MP Sumana Shrestha

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has expressed serious concern over media reports alleging that a fake complaint was filed under the direction of its lawmaker Sumana Shrestha.

In a press statement, the party claimed that the allegation appears to be part of a planned series of actions, including an earlier threat issued by the Home Minister in Parliament against the victim.

To verify the facts, the RSP has formed a three-member investigation committee.

The committee is led by Prof. Dr. Chanda Karki Bhandari, with senior advocate Dr. Narayan Ghimire and former SSP Labh Bista as members.
