RSP President Lamichhane suffers Vitamin D deficiency in prison
Senior physician Dr. Jitendra Prasad Yadav confirmed the deficiency after reviewing Lamichhane’s blood test reports.
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has been diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency, according to his recent medical examination.
Senior physician Dr. Jitendra Prasad Yadav confirmed the deficiency after reviewing Lamichhane’s blood test reports.
He explained that the problem arose as Lamichhane has been deprived of adequate sunlight exposure during his 126 days of imprisonment in Rupandehi Prison.
“Lack of sunlight over a long period leads to Vitamin D deficiency. The same condition has been observed in Chairperson Lamichhane,” Dr. Yadav said.
Due to the health concerns and the need for serious precautions, Dr. Yadav visited Nakkhu Prison on Monday to meet Lamichhane directly and provide necessary medical consultation.
