KATHMANDU: All federal and provincial lawmakers of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have decided to tender their collective resignation.

Party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha stated that the recent political developments in the country have rendered the current government, parliament, and even the constitution essentially meaningless.

“Given the widespread public dissatisfaction, the failure of the power structure, and the betrayal of citizens’ aspirations, remaining in parliament serves no purpose,” Shrestha said. “For these reasons, we have decided to exit parliament collectively.”

The RPP has also expressed support for the ongoing Gen Z movement, urging the government to address the protesters’ demands. The party called on all stakeholders to move toward a new political understanding and people-centered reforms.
