KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti has said that voting at the ongoing party general convention is likely to begin within the next two to three hours.

Speaking to journalists at the convention venue, Burlakoti noted that more than 370 candidates have filed nominations for the central committee positions.

He said technical teams and the election commission are actively working to start the voting process as soon as possible.

He estimated that each voter may take around 7 to 10 minutes to cast their ballot.

According to him, the final results are expected within two hours after voting concludes.

To manage representatives’ issues and streamline the process, three help desks have been set up at the venue.

Burlakoti also confirmed that he has filed his own candidacy for the central committee, with Home Minister Sudhan Gurung acting as his proposer.
