Amid growing speculation over key positions within the party, several aspirants have formally declared their bids, while discussions continue both inside and outside the party regarding potential contenders for various leadership roles.

In this context, youth activist and social contributor Nirmal Gautam has announced his candidacy for a central committee member position under the open category.

Gautam, who has been active in social initiatives alongside his political engagement, stated that he is committed to contributing to public service, good governance, and accountability.

He previously served as a departmental head in the audit division of the now-defunct Kalika Microcredit Development Bank Limited in Syangja.

He also claims experience as a financial analyst, having contributed to investigations involving irregularities in cooperatives.

According to him, he worked on a case involving alleged embezzlement of around Rs 11 billion affecting nearly 60,000 savers across 27 cooperatives, preparing reports and recommendations to support legal action and ensure justice for victims.

Gautam has pledged to work for the country and its people through leadership rooted in competence, financial autonomy, and economic decentralization, emphasizing a performance-based approach to politics.
