RPP leader Kishor Karki quits, slams leadership
Karki expressed deep dissatisfaction with the current organizational state of the party, accusing it of internal factionalism, favoritism, and mismanagement.
KATHMANDU: Kishor Bahadur Karki, an elected central committee member of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has announced his resignation from the party, including its general membership.
In a press release issued on Thursday, Karki expressed deep dissatisfaction with the current organizational state of the party, accusing it of internal factionalism, favoritism, and mismanagement.
He strongly criticized RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden, alleging that the party is being run like a private company. “There has been a sharp rise in flattery and sycophancy within the party. Dedicated and popular grassroots workers are being consistently insulted,” the statement read.
Karki accused the leadership of systematically sidelining loyal party workers who raise dissenting views, offer constructive suggestions, or work tirelessly during party conventions.
A long-time member of the RPP, Karki has previously held key roles including Madhesh Province Coordinator, member of the High-Level Executive Committee, Party Spokesperson, Youth and Sports Coordinator, and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee.
