KATHMANDU: The Rotary Club of Nagarjun donated high-quality computers and a printer to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office on the occasion of its 22nd anniversary.

District Governor of Rotary District 3292, Binod Koirala, handed over three computers and one printer on behalf of the club to Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari at a ceremony held at the Traffic Police Office, Ramshah Path, in the presence of nearly 200 senior traffic police officials.

Speaking at the event, Governor Koirala highlighted Rotary’s global commitment to humanitarian and social services.

He said that the donation was a small contribution following the post-Gen Z movement situation and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to continued support in the future.

Senior Deputy Superintendent Adhikari acknowledged the significant contributions of Rotary and other social organizations in improving traffic police uniforms, infrastructure, and office facilities.

Rotary Club of Nagarjun Chair Bishal Gaire also pledged the club’s ongoing support to the Traffic Police Office.

The event also recalled contributions during the Gen Z movement, when former Rotary Club president Shambhu Amgai played a key role in infrastructure development and retrofitting efforts, for which Police Inspector General Dan Bahadur Karki honored him.

The donation ceremony was attended by Rotary District Assistant Governor Manju Dhamala, District Secretary Anis Bajracharya, and Nargajun Club representatives, including outgoing Chair Satish Sharma, Secretary Arjun Khadka, and Treasurer Nikhil Agrawal.
