KATHMANDU: Rajasthan Royals produced a dominant batting display to defeat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets, securing their fourth consecutive victory in the Indian Premier League.

Chasing a daunting target of 202 in Guwahati on Friday, Rajasthan reached 202 for 4 in just 18 overs, powered by a stunning partnership between Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel.

Suryavanshi set the tone with a blistering 78 off 26 balls, bringing up the fastest half-century of the season in just 15 deliveries. His explosive knock included seven sixes and eight fours, dismantling the RCB attack during the powerplay.

Jurel provided the perfect support, remaining unbeaten on 81 from 36 balls, striking eight fours and three sixes. The duo added 97 runs in the powerplay, putting Rajasthan firmly in control of the chase.

After Suryavanshi’s dismissal, Jurel continued to anchor the innings, sharing a crucial partnership with Ravindra Jadeja, who contributed an unbeaten 24, as Rajasthan sealed a comfortable win with two overs to spare.

Earlier, RCB posted 201 for 8 after being put in to bat. Rajat Patidar top-scored with 63, while Virat Kohli made 32 and Venkatesh Iyer remained unbeaten on 29.

For Rajasthan, Jofra Archer and Ravi Bishnoi claimed two wickets each.

The victory strengthens Rajasthan’s position at the top of the table, underlining their strong early-season form.
