KATHMANDU: Punjab Kings pulled off a remarkable run chase to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets in a high-scoring Indian Premier League encounter.

Captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front with an unbeaten 69 off 33 balls, striking five fours and five sixes to guide his side home with composure.
Openers Prabhsimran Singh (51 off 25) and Priyansh Arya (57 off 20) laid the foundation with a blistering 99-run partnership, putting early pressure on Hyderabad’s bowlers.
Earlier, Hyderabad posted 219-6 after an explosive start from Abhishek Sharma, who smashed 74 off 28 balls, including eight sixes. He shared a 120-run opening stand with Travis Head (38), while Heinrich Klaasen added 39.
For Punjab, Shashank Singh impressed with the ball, taking 2-20 in his three overs.
The victory marks Punjab’s 10th successful chase of a 200-plus target — the most by any team in IPL history.
