KATHMANDU: Punjab Kings continued their dominant run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 with a commanding 54-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants at Mullanpur.

A stunning 182-run partnership between Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly powered Punjab to a massive total of 254/7 in 20 overs.

Despite losing early wickets, the duo took control of the innings and completely shifted the momentum in Punjab’s favor.

Priyansh Arya played a blistering knock of 93 off just 37 balls, hitting 9 sixes and 4 fours, while Cooper Connolly contributed a solid 87 off 46 deliveries.

Their explosive batting put Lucknow’s bowlers under immense pressure throughout the innings.

In reply, Lucknow Super Giants managed 200/5. Ayush Badoni (35), Mitchell Marsh (40), and Aiden Markram (42) provided starts, while captain Rishabh Pant scored a quick 43 off 23 balls.

However, regular wickets and a slowing run rate prevented them from mounting a successful chase.

Punjab’s bowlers held their nerve in the middle overs, breaking key partnerships and restricting the opposition’s momentum.

With this win, Punjab Kings strengthened their position at the top of the IPL 2026 points table, extending their unbeaten streak.
