PSG strengthens Ligue 1 lead with narrow 1-0 win over Le Havre
With this win, PSG solidifies their position atop the Ligue 1 table.
KATHMANDU: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) extended their Ligue 1 lead to four points after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Le Havre at Stade Océane.
The decisive moment came in the 37th minute when Bradley Barcola converted a header from a cross by Lee Kang-In, giving PSG the lead before halftime.
From the start, PSG dominated proceedings, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Achraf Hakimi creating early chances, though neither could find the net.
In the second half, PSG maintained control of the game. In the closing stages, a penalty was awarded after Lucas Hernandez–Gourna-Douath brought down Desiree Doue in the box.
However, Doue’s spot-kick was brilliantly saved by Le Havre goalkeeper Mori Diav.
With this win, PSG solidifies their position atop the Ligue 1 table.
