KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel, along with First Lady Sabita Paudel, visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Basantapur, Kathmandu, on Monday.

During the visit, President Paudel toured the Hanumandhoka Durbar Museum and observed several historic and cultural landmarks in the Durbar Square area, including Kal Bhairav, Taleju Temple, the Nine-Storey Palace (Nautale Durbar), Nasal Chowk, Mul Chowk, and Trishul Chowk.

The President was welcomed by Hari Prasad Mainali, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; Saubhagya Pradhanang, Director General of the Department of Archaeology; and Kaziman Pyakurel, Executive Director of the Hanumandhoka Durbar Museum Development Committee, among other officials.
