KATHMANDU: Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has stressed the need to establish the party’s presence through active engagement in social organizations and institutions.

Speaking at a discussion organized by the party’s Social Welfare Department on the theme “Social Justice, Inclusion, and the Role of Social Institutions”, Prachanda highlighted that the Maoist Centre must play a positive and constructive role within such institutions, especially in the context of the changing political landscape.

He noted that although many Maoist leaders and cadres are already involved in various organizations, there is a tendency to remain passive or anonymous, which must change. “Wherever our comrades are involved, those institutions must become exemplary,” he said, emphasizing that a unified understanding of the party’s approach to social institutions must be established from the grassroots level to the top leadership.

According to his private secretariat, Prachanda also reiterated that the Maoist Centre’s vision of an independent and national economy is distinct from that of other parties.

He stressed the importance of communicating this ideology effectively at all levels to reinforce the unique identity of the party.
