Police arrest two with guns, handsets

KATHMANDU: Morang police have arrested two individuals in Sundarharaincha with firearms and communication equipment.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from the Belbari Police Station and Gachhiya Police Post raided the house of 28-year-old Silas Limbu, a resident of Sundarharaincha-2, Beldagi.
During the search, authorities recovered a pistol marked “Made in USA,” a licensed firearm, and two Baofeng handsets from his bedroom.
Preliminary questioning revealed that Limbu had obtained the weapons and handsets from 29-year-old Prem Bahadur Gurung of Sundarharaincha-3.
Gurung was subsequently taken into custody from his residence.
Both individuals are currently held at the Belbari Police Office, where further investigation is underway, Morang Police reported.
