PNG gives Nepal a 96 runs target

KATHMANDU: Papua New Guinea (PNG) set a target of 96 runs for Nepal in the ICC World Cup League-2. PNG batted first after losing the toss and scored 95 runs in 32 overs.

Captain Assad Vala led PNG with 20 runs, followed by Sese Bau (18 runs), Charles Amini (16 runs), and Hiri Hiri (14 runs). PNG’s other batsmen were unable to reach double figures.

From the start, Nepal’s bowlers put PNG under pressure. In this game, Sandeep Lamichhane has taken 5 wickets. Sandeep took 5 wickets and allowed 25 runs in 10 overs, including a maiden.

Lalit Rajbanshi and Kushal Malla each took two wickets, while Sompal Kami took one. Nepal is batting back after achieving the target of 96 runs.
