PM taking vote of confidence on March 13

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will take the vote of confidence from the House of Representatives on Falgun 30 (March 13).

The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has sent a letter today to the Federal Parliament Secretariat for arrangements for taking the vote of confidence on that day.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire’s press advisor Shekhar Adhikari informed that a letter regarding the vote of confidence has been received from the Prime Minister.

The Secretary General of the Parliament Padam Prasad Pandey has informed Speaker Ghimire about the said letter.

He said that Speaker Ghimire had convened a consultation meeting on Falgun 29 (March 12) regarding the arrangements for taking the vote of confidence. The meeting will decide the agenda in this regard.

With the change in the power equation, Prime Minister Prachanda is going to seek a vote of confidence from the Parliament after the Nepali Congress withdrew its support to the government.
