PM Shah extends Mother’s Day wishes, hopes to see ‘Mother Nepal Smiling’

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balen Shah has extended his wishes on the occasion of Mata Tirtha Aunsi, expressing his wish to see “Mother Nepal smiling.”
In a message shared on social media on Friday, Shah emphasized that both mother and motherland are greater than heaven.
He wrote, “A mother’s lap is warm, and her feet are as sacred as a pilgrimage site. On this auspicious occasion of Mata Tirtha Aunsi, I extend my heartfelt respect, gratitude, and tribute to all mothers—the source of creation and a timeless example of love and sacrifice. I wish all mothers a long and healthy life.”
The Prime Minister described mothers as a person’s first teacher and an eternal source of love. He also expressed his hope that children can always keep their mothers happy and make them proud through their actions.
“May we always keep our mothers smiling, and may they take pride in our deeds. O mother! I wish to see Mother Nepal smiling,” he added.
