PM Prachanda stresses proportional inclusive governance system on Gyalpo Lhosar

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the importance of reinforcing a proportional inclusive governance system alongside democratic republic, federalism, secularism, and social justice as the primary objective.
Extending his greetings on the occasion of the Nepali national festival ‘Gyalpo Lhosar,’ he underscored the national duty to achieve goals such as national independence, good governance, social justice, and prosperity while enhancing internal unity.
The Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt wishes to all sisters and brothers, including the Sherpa community, residing both within the country and abroad.
He expressed confidence that Gyalpo Lhosar would further strengthen internal nationalism, mutual harmony, tolerance, cooperation, and unity.
In his message, Prime Minister Dahal highlighted Gyalpo Lhosar as an ancient and traditional festival deeply rooted in Sherpa community culture, particularly in the eastern Himalayan region.
He described the festival as a time-honored occasion marked by cultural festivities, where blessings are sought from elders and prayers are offered for the well-being and longevity of family and loved ones.
