KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba held a significant meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday afternoon.

Senior leaders from both the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress participated in the discussion, which focused on the current political situation, Cabinet reshuffle, and issues related to the Bagmati Province government, according to sources.

From the UML side, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal joined Prime Minister Oli in the talks.

On behalf of the Nepali Congress, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak accompanied President Deuba.

Leaders from both parties confirmed that serious discussions took place regarding power-sharing arrangements, ministerial portfolio adjustments, and future political strategies. Further details and conclusions of the meeting are yet to be disclosed.
