KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized legal reforms, strengthening foreign relations, investment promotion, and infrastructure development as the government’s top priorities.

Speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Wednesday, Oli expressed confidence that Nepal’s graduation to a developing country will advance its journey toward self-reliance.

He highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen international relations through effective diplomacy and said bilateral and multilateral cooperation has created opportunities to attract foreign investment, aid, and loans.

Oli also noted that the government has initiated the process of reviewing and amending procurement and construction-related laws and policies.

The Prime Minister stressed the government’s focus on personal and institutional capacity building and claimed efforts are underway to transform Nepal from a “landlocked” to a “land-linked” country.

Oli reaffirmed that the government is committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure sustainable national transformation.
