KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the High-Level Good Governance Commission, chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, was held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

The introductory session discussed the objectives, scope of work, and priority agenda of the newly formed commission.

The meeting emphasized swift nominations of representatives from political parties, experts, and the private sector, with plans to convene the second full meeting next week.

Formed through a Cabinet decision on Baisakh 8, the 15-member commission includes Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Law Minister Ajaya Chaurasiya, and Federal Affairs Minister Raj Kumar Gupta, among others.
