‘Paran’ touches the hearts of Yeti Airlines family

KATHMANDU: As ‘Paran’ continues to receive widespread acclaim from audiences, the Yeti Airlines family organized a special screening of the film for their employees and their parents at FCube Cinemas in KL Tower.

After watching the film, Yeti Airlines employees were visibly emotional. Some were wiping away tears while others sat in stunned silence, unable to immediately express their reactions. ‘I had never cried watching a movie before, but Paran made me weep,’ said an employee.

Similarly, another employee shared “When the youngest son hugs his father and starts crying before leaving the village, I was completely overwhelmed. And when the father breaks down after his son leaves, no one could hold back their tears” Employees shared that the film successfully captured their hearts through its portrayal of parent-child love, conversations between children living abroad and their parents, and stories that reflect every household.

‘Paran’ tells the story of an elderly father seeking companionship and love from his children. The film realistically depicts the emotional distance that emerges when aging parents long for their children’s presence while the children prioritize their own aspirations.

Veteran actor Neer Shah plays the lead role in the film. Shah, revered as the patriarch of Nepali cinema, has taken on a leading role after many years, making this film particularly noteworthy. Presenting a meaningful and emotional story for family audiences, the film has received positive feedback from viewers of all ages.

‘Paran’ is directed by debut filmmaker Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku), who also wrote the story. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Yam Thapa. The film is produced by Bioscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd., established through a joint investment by two of Nepal’s prestigious business groups – Golchha Group and Prisma Group.

The film features powerful performances from Neer Shah, Mahesh Shah, Anjana Baraili, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Prabin Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushpa Raj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subrat Raj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child artist Aryadip Acharya, among others.
