One minister each from UML, Maoist & RSP taking oath
Deputy General Secretary of Maoist Barsaman Pun informed that the meeting of power alliance held on Monday morning decided to appoint Padam Giri from UML, Hit Bahadur Tamang from Maoist Center and DP Aryal from RSP as ministers.
KATHMANDU: Three new ministers of the new ruling coalition will take oath.
Deputy General Secretary of Maoist Barsaman Pun informed that the meeting of power alliance held on Monday morning decided to appoint Padam Giri from UML, Hit Bahadur Tamang from Maoist Center and DP Aryal from RSP as ministers.
According to him, other prominent figures will join the government following the ministry’s decision.
Giri from Parbat, Tamang from Nuwakot-1, and Aryal are all proportionally elected RSP MPs. Pun from the Maoist party and Rabi Lamichhane from the RSP were anticipated to join the cabinet today.
However, these three leaders will participate in the government after it was decided that the top leaders would not participate until the ministries were divided and the ministers’ rankings were finalized.
Pun informed that these three ministers would be sworn in today.
