Oli urges discipline, unity in first UML central committee meeting
Addressing party leaders, Oli expressed his commitment to steering the party forward with a sense of unity and purpose.
KATHMANDU: Newly elected CPN-UML Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged strict discipline and unity among party leaders during the first meeting of the newly elected Central Committee.
Addressing party leaders, Oli expressed his commitment to steering the party forward with a sense of unity and purpose.
He criticized a leader whose mobile phone rang during the meeting, emphasizing that “mobile phones must not ring during meetings,” highlighting the importance of discipline.
Oli stressed that all party members must advance in unison, likening the coordinated movement to a military march. “We will move forward with a spirit of unity and elevate the party to new heights. While minor issues occasionally arise within the party, we must ensure that such weaknesses do not recur. Every voice must be in harmony, following the ideological, organizational, and programmatic policies set by the second party convention. Like an army march, our hands and feet must move in perfect synchrony,” he said.
Additionally, Chair Oli instructed party leaders to form local security committees to ensure public safety at the grassroots level, signaling a focus on organizational discipline and civic responsibility.
