KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has remarked that the Nepali Congress should assume the role of a mature opposition.

He made the remarks during a press conference at the Parliament building on Tuesday.

He claimed that the Congress is lamenting the fact that it would be forced to leave the administration.

He stated that after the Nepali Congress is out of power, it should refrain from showing excitement, provocation, vengeful expression, acting, or blocking parliament.

He said – ‘Now they are out of the government. As soon as it is out of the government, a party like the Nepali Congress should not engage in any activities such as enthusiasm, agitation, vengeful expressions, activities and blocking of the parliament. We demand the role of a mature opposition from the Nepali Congress. How and for what will the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee be formed? It is not possible.’

Chair Oli said that even though the Congress demanded a parliamentary committee to investigate the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the cooperative case, it was not possible.
