Oli claims certain leaders won’t win elections for 20 years
Oli asserted that the UML would win if elections were held in the country.
KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has claimed that leaders like Rabi Lamichhane, Balendra Shah, and Kulman Ghising are unlikely to win elections for the next twenty years.
Speaking at an event organized by the Nepal National Former Soldiers and Police Organization (NEPON) in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Oli asserted that the UML would win if elections were held in the country.
He also expressed concern over comments suggesting that UML-Congress victories are impossible, criticizing such claims as unfounded.
Targeting Balendra Sah, Oli remarked that no one supports praising individuals who have done nothing as if they have achieved great feats.
Oli further accused the government of focusing on issues other than conducting elections and raised concerns about threats being directed at the judiciary, questioning how elections could be fairly conducted under such circumstances.
