KATHMANDU: The final results of the 11th National Convention of the CPN-UML have been announced, confirming KP Sharma Oli’s decisive victory as party chair.

Oli secured 1,663 votes, defeating rival Ishwar Pokharel, who received 564 votes.

For the three Deputy General Secretary positions, Lekhraj Bhatta (1,452 votes), Raghubir Mahaseth (1,368 votes), and Yogesh Bhattarai (1,348 votes) emerged victorious.

Notably, Bishnu Prasad Rimal, a close ally of Oli, was defeated, receiving 1,091 votes.

Other defeated candidates included Ananda Prasad Pokharel (635), Baijnath Chaudhary (517), and Rajendra Prasad Gautam (270).
