KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has clarified that allegations suggesting any political party influences the interim government are unfounded.

Addressing the National Assembly today, she emphasized that ministers resigning to contest elections does not indicate impropriety.

“Those ministers were appointed at the request of the Jenji group and served diligently. After resigning, they are free to contest elections or pursue their areas of interest,” PM Karki stated. “It is incorrect to claim that the National Independent Party or any other party has sway over the government. I am not a political figure myself, so such remarks hold no merit.”

Currently, ministers Kulman Ghising, Jagdish Kharel, Mahabir Pun, and Bablu Gupta have resigned to participate in the upcoming elections.
