KATHMANDU: League leaders Bayern Munich held Bayer Leverkusen to a 1–1 draw despite being reduced to nine players during their clash.

Leverkusen took an early lead in the sixth minute when Alex Garcia found the back of the net.

Bayern’s situation worsened before halftime after Nicolas Jackson received a straight red card for a dangerous tackle, forcing the hosts to continue with ten men.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Bayern fought back in the 69th minute as Luis Díaz scored the equaliser from a pass by Michael Olise.

However, Bayern were further reduced to nine players late in the match when Díaz was shown a second yellow card.

Leverkusen thought they had secured a late winner through Jonas Hofmann, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

The match ultimately ended 1–1, with Bayern showing resilience despite the two red cards.
