KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has recommended the government to initiate an investigation against Member of Parliament KP Khanal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) over alleged involvement in incidents linked to the events of Bhadra 23 and 24.
The recommendation is based on a report prepared by a committee coordinated by NHRC member Lili Thapa, which examined alleged human rights violations during the incidents.
The commission has stated that a detailed investigation should be carried out to determine the nature and extent of Khanal’s involvement, and appropriate action should be taken if he is found guilty.
