KATHMANDU: Four newly appointed ambassadors to Nepal presented their letters of credence to President Ramchandra Paudel during a formal ceremony held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, today.

In the special ceremony, residential ambassador of Bangladesh, Md. Shafiqur Rahman, and non-residential ambassadors of South Africa, Angola, and Argentina officially submitted their credentials.

The non-residential ambassadors include Anil Sooklal of South Africa, Clemente Pedro Francisco Camenha of Angola, and Marino Agustin of Argentina.

According to the Office of the President, the event was attended by senior government officials of Nepal.

In a gesture of diplomatic honor, the newly appointed envoys were escorted from Hotel Dusit Princess to Sheetal Niwas in a ceremonial horse-drawn carriage procession.

Presidential spokesperson Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai stated that the ambassadors expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation with Nepal during their respective tenures.
