KATHMANDU: A combined meeting of the ruling coalition’s senior leaders and the working group has begun at Baluwatar, the Prime Minister’s residence, to address issues such as ministry allotment.

Govinda Acharya, the Prime Minister’s Press Adviser, stated that the meeting on Tuesday evening will cover subjects such as ministry allocation and the government’s common minimum program.

“After the new coalition was formed only yesterday, the meeting of the senior leaders of all parties and the working group began today. This is a topic similar to the first layout. It will debate matters such as how to split the cabinet, the categorization of ministries, standards, and the government’s common minimum program. Acharya stated, “It will take three to four days to complete all of these processes and expand the cabinet to its full capacity.”

The Congress-led coalition government was disbanded on Sunday night, and a new coalition government was created with the UML, Maoists, RSP, and JSP.

The working committee constituted to address concerns with the party’s senior officials and stakeholders met in Baluwatar.

Padam Giri of the UML, Hit Bahadur Tamang of the Maoist, and Dolprasad Aryal of the RSP took the oath of office as non-department ministers on Monday.

The four parties had agreed on 8 points on Monday, including 8 points including the formation and operation of the constitution based on consensus, making policy programs, and the Maoist and UML vice president of the National Assembly.
