NEPSE surges as market sees significant trading boost

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a notable rise in both its index and trading volume today.

The NEPSE index climbed 57.55 points, closing at 2,772.17, marking a 2.12% increase.

A total of 331 companies saw 30,915,183 shares traded across 133,529 transactions, amounting to Rs 1.378 billion in turnover.

All sectoral sub-indices recorded gains.

Notably, eight companies hit the upper price circuit, while Aankhukhola Hydropower Company Ltd. led trading activity with 16,68,000 shares exchanged, totaling Rs 435.93 million.
