NEPSE slips as most sectors record losses

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) opened the week on a weak note, with the benchmark index falling by 10.29 points to settle at 2,610.63.
A total of 323 companies saw 12,474,126 shares traded across 79,702 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs 5.17 billion, according to NEPSE data.
Among sectoral movements, Hotel & Tourism (+0.62%), Production & Processing (+1.04%), and Trade (+0.34%) were the only gainers.
In contrast, most other sectors closed in the red, including:

On the individual front, positive circuits were hit by Win Nepal Laghubitta Financial Institution Ltd. and Srinagar Agritech Industries Ltd., while Nyadi Hydropower Ltd. recorded the steepest decline, dropping 4.32%.
SY Panel Nepal Ltd. dominated in turnover with shares worth Rs 306.58 million traded, while NIC Asia Bank Ltd. led in volume with 634,749 shares exchanged.
