NEPSE rises over 10 points as majority of stocks gain

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index climbed by 10.30 points (0.39%) on Wednesday, closing at 2,648.90, continuing its upward trend after a 21.62-point gain on Tuesday.

Of the shares traded on Wednesday, 157 companies saw their stock prices increase, 90 experienced declines, while 13 remained unchanged.

A total of 48,640 transactions were recorded, involving the trading of 10,456,980 shares worth Rs 445.11 crore—an increase compared to Tuesday’s turnover of Rs 423.24 crore.

Among the 13 sub-sectors active in trading, finance companies, mutual funds, and trade sectors saw their indices fall, whereas the remaining 10 sub-sectors recorded gains, pushing the overall NEPSE into a double-digit rise.
