NEPSE index falls despite higher trading volume

KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index on Monday declined by 5.54 points, closing at 2,635.

The total turnover rose from Rs 4.90 billion to Rs 6.47 billion, with 333 listed securities exchanging 12,390,744 shares.
Among listed companies, 75 saw their share prices rise, 178 witnessed a decline, and seven remained unchanged.
SY Panel and Shreenagar Aggregate led gains, each climbing 10%, closing at Rs 1,383.80 and Rs 1,114.30 per share, respectively.
Rasuwa Gadhi Hydropower also rose 8.53% to Rs 294 per share.
On the downside, Super Madi Hydropower fell the most, dropping 4.25% to Rs 496 per share.
SY Panel recorded the highest turnover, with shares worth Rs 422.2 million traded, followed by Radhi Hydropower, which saw Rs 315.7 million in transactions at Rs 788 per share.
Of the 13 sectoral indices traded today, nine fell while four advanced.
Among them, the Manufacturing & Processing sector recorded the highest gain, rising 1.02%.
