NEPSE index falls 42.48 points, market turnover declines

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 42.48 points, or 1.53%, closing at 2,726.51 on Tuesday.

Out of the listed companies, 34 saw their share prices rise, 224 declined, while 2 remained unchanged.

Among the 13 sub-sectors, only the collective investment funds sub-sector stayed stable, with the rest posting losses.

A total of 3,262,710 shares were traded across 142,476 transactions, amounting to Rs 1.416 billion.

Market turnover decreased compared to Monday, when shares worth Rs 1.635 billion were exchanged.
