NEPSE drops 46.78 points; Kalika Power falls 8.47%

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw its benchmark index fall by 46.78 points, closing at 2,796.57, marking a 0.64% decline.

Trading activity included 360,494,451 shares of 329 companies, exchanged 115,550 times, totaling Rs 1.318 billion, NEPSE reported.

Among sector indices, the Mutual Fund sub-index rose 0.34%, while all other sector sub-indices declined.

Salpa Development Bank Ltd. hit the upper circuit limit, whereas Kalika Power Company Ltd. recorded the largest drop of 8.47%.

In terms of turnover, Ridi Power Company Ltd. led the market with NRs 859.45 million traded across 2,437,330 shares.
