KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 3.07 points on Monday, closing at 2,769.09, marking a 0.11% decline compared to Sunday.

Among the listed companies, 88 saw their share prices rise, 165 recorded declines, and 7 remained unchanged. Out of the 13 sub-sectors, only Hotels & Tourism, Hydropower, Manufacturing & Processing, and Mutual Funds posted gains, while the remaining sectors ended in red.

A total of 147,676 transactions took place, with 36,264,873 shares changing hands, amounting to a turnover of Rs 1.635 billion.

Monday’s trading volume marks the highest since July 31, when shares worth Rs 1.644 billion were traded.
