Nepal won the toss, choose to field first

KATHMANDU: Nepal won the toss and elected to bowl against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in today’s ICC World Cup League-2 triangular series match.
After winning the toss, Nepal’s captain, Rohit Poudel, has decided to bat first.
Nepal has made a change in today’s game. Gulshan Jha is on the bench today, and Karan KC has returned to the team. Karan was on the bench for the match against UAE on Sunday.
Nepal is fourth in the ICC World Cup League-2 with 36 points from 34 matches.
Even though Nepal secured one-day qualification by finishing fourth, they must win this match to play in the World Cup qualifiers by finishing in the top three.
If Nepal wins the remaining two matches, it will be in the top three with 40 points and will be able to play the World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. Papua New Guinea is at the bottom with 11 points from 34 games.
