Nepal Police transfers eight DIGs

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police has transferred eight Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) as part of its latest administrative reshuffle.

According to the decision, DIG Arun Paudel has been transferred from the Bagmati Province Police Office to the Operations Department and Operations Directorate at Police Headquarters.

DIG Jayaram Sapkota, previously serving in the Operations Department, has been posted to the Karnali Province Police Office.

Similarly, DIG Dinesh Kumar Acharya from the Gandaki Province Police Office has been transferred to the Police Training Academy in Maharajgunj.

DIG Deepak Regmi, who was working at the Investigation, Planning, and Development Directorate, has been moved to the Bagmati Province Police Office.

DIG Dipendra Gharti Chhetri from the Police Training Academy has been assigned to the Gandaki Province Police Office.

DIG Bhupendra Khatri of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has been transferred to the Lumbini Province Police Office in Dang.

Meanwhile, DIG Madhav Prasad Shrestha from the Karnali Province Police Office has been posted to the Central Investigation Bureau, and DIG Rajendra Bhatta from the Lumbini Province Police Office has been transferred to the Investigation, Planning, and Development Directorate.

The transfers are aimed at strengthening leadership and enhancing operational efficiency across various police units.
