KATHMANDU: Nepal Manav Dharma Sewa Samiti has successfully collected nearly 300 pints of blood in blood donation drives held across seven locations in the country.
Organized to commemorate the birthday of spiritual leader Satpalji Maharaj, the events saw 295 donors contributing to the cause.
The blood collected from various cities included 84 pints from Kathmandu, 58 pints from Butwal, 41 pints from Dhulabari, 37 pints from Itahari, 32 pints from Pokhara, 31 pints from Nepalgunj, and 12 pints from Tikapur.

Mahatma Chameli VY, head of the Nepal Manav Dharma Sewa Samiti, stated that the initiative was especially crucial due to the ongoing Gen Z protests, which have left many injured and caused a severe shortage of blood nationwide.
Marking Maharajji’s birthday on Sept 21, the committee aims to fulfill its social responsibility by organizing activities that benefit the community.
In addition to blood donation, the organization has also conducted sanitation drives and distributed educational materials in various parts of the country.
