KATHMANDU: Nepal sealed a convincing eight-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to draw the two-match T20 International series 1–1.

Chasing a modest target of 129 at Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal were led by an outstanding unbeaten 84 from Kushal Bhurtel.

The opener struck 12 fours and two sixes in a fluent 57-ball innings, anchoring the chase with authority.

He was well supported by Dipendra Singh Airee, who remained unbeaten on 23, while Kushal Malla added 19 as Nepal reached the target comfortably with wickets in hand.

Earlier, the UAE posted 128 for eight after being put into bat. Akshdeep Nath top-scored with an unbeaten 53, while Muhammad Irfan made 32 and Adhiv Usmani contributed 30.

Nepal’s bowlers kept the visitors in check, with Sandeep Lamichhane taking three wickets. Hemant Dhami claimed two, while Nandan Yadav and Sahab Alam picked up one apiece.

The result ensured the series finished level after Nepal had lost the opening match by six wickets on Monday.
