Nembang wins UML central committee seat, continues father’s legacy
In the central committee election, Suhang contested in the open category under the panel led by UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.
KATHMANDU: In the 11th National Convention of the CPN-UML, Suhang Nembang, son of the late leader Subash Chandra Nembang, has been elected as an open-category central committee member.
The 37-year-old Suhang entered active politics following the untimely demise of his father and previously won a by-election from Ilam-2 to become a member of the Federal Parliament.
In the central committee election, Suhang contested in the open category under the panel led by UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.
Initially filing his candidacy independently, he was later included in Oli’s official panel.
With this victory, Suhaṅ has secured his place in the party’s central committee, with analysts noting that his political journey carries forward the legacy of his late father.
