NC General Secretary Thapa claims encirclement within party
Thapa accused senior leaders of sidelining procedures and party regulations, acting out of numerical superiority.
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has alleged that he and fellow General Secretary Bishwprakash Sharma are being encircled within the party.
Speaking to journalists at the party’s central office on Wednesday, Thapa accused senior leaders of sidelining procedures and party regulations, acting out of numerical superiority.
He said the move against them was a coordinated effort by party leaders but emphasized that the encirclement within the party is limited, while the support from party workers and the public remains strong. “Even if they try to corner us inside the party, the larger circle of supporters is pushing us beyond this confinement,” Thapa said.
He criticized leaders for using numerical dominance to target the General Secretaries and reiterated the importance of upholding party procedures and statutes.
