The finalized list of candidates will be unveiled at 1:30 PM today, following the conclusion of the registration process, as announced by the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
The political event is marked by the disclosure of the election agenda by the Parliament Secretariat.
In the new ruling coalition, consensus has been reached, assigning the role of National Assembly Speaker to the Maoist Centre and Vice Speaker to the UML.
Narayan Dahal is the Maoist Center’s nominee for the Speaker position, while Yuvraj Sharma is nominated by the Nepali Congress.
With the coalition’s balance of power favoring Dahal’s nomination, the Maoist Center, CPN-UML, Unified Socialist Party, and Janata Samajwadi Party together command 39 Members of Parliament in the National Assembly.
