Murder charges filed against royalist movement leaders including Prasai

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has filed a murder case against eight individuals, including the prominent royalist movement leader Durga Prasai.

According to court officials, the accused are Durga Prasai, Harihari Chaulagain, Saroj Gautam (also known as Tara Rajawadi), Satish Nyaupane, Gokarna Shahi, Dandapani Regmi, Santoshkumar Silwal, and Hemraj Tharu.

The charges stem from the violent protest on Chaitra 15, during which Sabin Maharjan and journalist Suresh Rajak lost their lives.

The accused have been formally charged with murder in connection with these deaths.
