Muktinath Bikas Bank celebrates 19 years with nationwide CSR programs
A total of 755 units of blood were collected and handed over to local blood transfusion centers.
KATHMANDU: Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited has successfully completed 19 years of service and entered its 20th year, marking the occasion with a series of nationwide social responsibility programs on Poush 19, 2082.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the bank organized large-scale blood donation programs at its Central Office in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, and regional offices in Janakpur, Narayangadh, Dhading, Pokhara, Itahari, Butwal, and Lamki.
A total of 755 units of blood were collected and handed over to local blood transfusion centers.
On the same occasion, the bank conducted a nationwide art competition titled “My Nepal in 2050” (Art Competition 2.0) for students of Grades 8 to 10.

The competition witnessed the participation of 791 students from across the country.

Ms. Riya Khadka from Kathmandu secured first place, receiving Rs 50,000 in cash along with a certificate.

The best artist from each regional office was awarded Rs 10,000 and a certificate.

Winners were selected based on evaluations by independent subject experts.
Beyond these events, the bank carried out multiple social welfare initiatives covering all seven provinces. These included:

Scholarships for students of Grades 11 and 12 from various schools

Distribution of warm clothes and stationery to school students

Support to the Bagmati River Clean-up Mega Campaign through sanitation materials

Assistance to non-profit organizations such as Sewa Ashram with quilts and mattresses

Distribution of dustbins for waste management

Provision of sewing machines to underprivileged communities in remote villages of Adanchuli Rural Municipality, Humla, to support livelihood generation

Distribution of prosthetic hands to children in coordination with E-Nable Nepal
The main ceremony held at the bank’s Central Office in Lazimpat was inaugurated by Chair of the Board of Directors, Mr. Khim Prakash Malla, who also chaired the program.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mr. Samir Shekhar Bajracharya delivered the welcome remarks, while Chief Executive Officer Mr. Pradyuman Pokhrel presented the bank’s overall status, progress, and key activities.
The program also featured the launch of the bank’s institutional song and the felicitation of 47 employees who completed 10 years of service at the bank.
The event was attended by board members, shareholders, customers, and employees, and was moderated by Manager Mr. Tej Bahadur Giri.
Through these initiatives, Muktinath Development Bank reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility, community development, and inclusive growth across Nepal.
