MP Singh says speaking against top leaders puts one at risk
Singh emphasized that the government should focus on development in sectors like education, communications, and health rather than creating an environment of fear.
KATHMANDU: MP Amresh Kumar Singh expressed concern over the current political climate, saying that it has become unsafe to speak against three major political leaders: KP Sharma Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a statement during the House of Representatives session.
He remarked that anyone who voices criticism against these leaders could face repercussions, citing examples such as himself, Bhim Rawal, Rabi Lamichhane, or Resham Chaudhary. “At present, speaking against these three top leaders is not without risk. One could end up like Amresh Singh, Bhim Rawal, Resham Chaudhary, or Rabi Lamichhane. There are dozens of such examples, and cyber security measures only add to the pressure,” he said.
