KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Mingma David Sherpa has returned safely after successfully summiting Mount Everest at 5:40 AM on Wednesday, carrying the federal parliament’s logo-bearing flag.

Under the campaign slogan “From Parliament to the Summit,” Sherpa reached the peak on the ninth day of his expedition, symbolically connecting legislative institution with the Himalayas and sending a global message of representation and resilience.

Elected to House of Representatives in 2082 BS under the proportional representation category from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Sherpa continues to balance his political role with his legacy in high-altitude mountaineering.
